Pushed the eject button next to the filter located at the bottom of the grille on the left side (freezer side). The old filter came forward, we removed it. We watched the whirlpool you tube video 1st which shows to removed the two covers and to push it back into place and there was instructions included turning clockwise or counter clockwise.
