Description

This dishwasher overfill control float mounts in the tub floor and rises with the water level to trip the float switch and stop filling. Replacing a warped or stuck float restores proper fill control and helps prevent leaks. What it does:

• Monitors tub water level and actuates the float switch to shut off the inlet valve
• Helps prevent overfilling and water leaking from the door
• Common symptoms of a faulty float include no fill, continuous filling/overfilling, or inconsistent water level

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing
• Remove the lower rack; lift out the old float
• Access beneath the tub may be required to release/install the retainer
• Ensure the float stem engages the switch lever and moves freely; test-fill and check for leaks
