Allison B Bellevue , NE July 06, 2015 The door frame of my microwave had been cracked for years and finally broke completely at the bottom I searched online to see if replacement parts were available. I was happy to find that the door frame was available. More searching showed that AppliancePartsPro.com had a good price. I ordered the door frame, and it came quickly. I located and removed the 4 screws holding the door frame in place. The glass was loose, so I pulled it out separately. There's an inner plastic frame that was also loose. The broken door frame was glued to the door at the top, with what appeared to be hot glue, so I used a screwdriver blade to pry it apart. It took a few tries to fit the parts (new door frame, inner frame, glass) back together properly. Since they came out separately and there was no instruction sheet in the box, I didn't know how they should fit together. It wasn't too hard to figure out, though. The glass fit between the two plastic parts (it was a bit tricky getting it in behind the molded retainer clips on each end), and the inner frame snapped right in place. I removed the handle from the old door frame and installed it on the new one. (Getting the glass in place was easier without the handle attached.) I tried using hot glue on the top, where the door and frame fit together. It set too quickly and clogged the slots, so the tabs wouldn't go in. I decided the glue didn't seem that important, so scraped it off and put things back together. I read the replacement should take about a half hour. Can't remember if it was on this website or somewhere else. I didn't keep track, but it probably took me around 2 hours. Instructions would have helped make it quicker, but I doubt it would have been as quick as 1/2 hours.
