Description

This door gasket creates a tight seal around the refrigerator door to keep cold air in and humid room air out. Replacing a worn gasket helps maintain proper temperatures and reduces condensation and frost at the door opening. What it does:

• Seals the door perimeter to limit warm air infiltration
• Helps keep interior temperatures stable for consistent cooling
• Reduces moisture and frost buildup near the door opening
• Replaces a gasket that is torn, warped, brittle, or won't seal properly

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Remove the old gasket from the retaining channel; on some models, loosen retainer screws to release it
• Warm the new gasket in hot water or with low heat to relax folds; seat corners first, then press fully into the channel all around
• Close the door to check for even contact; adjust door alignment if needed and allow up to 24 hours for the gasket to conform
