Jon H Kearney , MO August 30, 2014 Appliance: Model MAYTAG SMOOTH TOP 2014 MODEL Shattered outer glass on the new maytag oven door Open the door, flip out (by hand) the two lock levers on the door hinges, and pull up and out to remove door. Remove two screws located in the upper inside corners of the door, approximately behind the outer limits of the main door handle. From the bottom of the door, only three screws need to be removed...the center screw and one from each corner (if you study you'll notice these three are the only ones holding the front cover of the door to the main door frame. There are cutouts on two other screws that you'll leave alone and other screws you'll see attach the hinges internally to the door frame, so do not remove these). Pull the door apart now and you'll simply unscrew and remove one of the retaining metal brackets for the window (you can just slide the new window in the other bracket).
