Gerard K Auburndale , MA December 17, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool RF366PXYB1 The inner oven glass was cracked on a whirlpool oven door I ordered a replacement glass from Appliance Part Pros on Friday evening and it was delivered on Monday morning. It was packed well and I appreciated the quick delivery. I watched the Appliance Part Pros video and it was not helpful because it was for a different door but it did have some useful advice. I checked for a few other hints on the internet and then went to work. The door on my oven had to be removed by opening it to the first stop, about four inches, after removing two locking screws on the door above the hinge. The door was put at a 45 degree angle and it was easy to pull out. I put the door on a flat surface that was covered with old towels and took some photos on my iPad to make sure I would know exactly what the door looked like when intact, particularly the area by the handle. I removed the bottom screws then the side panel screws and last the screws on top of the door with a Phillips head screwdriver. The back cover came off and inside there were three panes of glass. They are held in place in a frame by screws and I removed them with a ratchet and socket set. The last piece of flass was broken and was easily taken out. I put the screws on small pieces of paper which I labelled to make sure I knew where they would go when I put them back in. I put the door back together by simply reversing the steps I had taken. The hinges on the door kept snapping shut so I put a pool cue behind them to keep them open and then slid the door down onto the hinges. I replaced the locking screws and the job was finished. The time to replace the glass in the door was about a half-hour but the whole job was much longer because it was an opportunity to clean the inside of the door and the two panes of glass that had been in use for 28 years. Jennings W Daytona Beach , FL September 20, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool RF366PXYN0 Range inner glass door cracked Replaced inner glass, it took me forever to figure out how to remove the inner door. As it turned out there are two screws that attach the door to the hinges. Everything I search for on-line said lift hinge lock or put metal pins in and close the door. I guess my model is very old and I could not find a service manual that detailed the procedure either. Once the door was removed it was pretty much straight forward, disassemble, CLEAN, and reassemble. I don't know how dirty they normally get but I know clean when I see it. I would say R & R of the part about 1 hour. Cleaning to my satisfaction about 2 hours.
