Christopher D Kernersville , NC February 23, 2015 My microwave vent grill kept falling on my head when i opened my microwave Well, I gotta say I was happy to find you still had parts for almost 20 year old microwaves. The microwave itself worked fine, so I hated to have to buy a new one, but I just couldn't take being hit in the head anymore; and my fix of using string and wire to tie it to the surrounding cabinets was unsightly to say the least. I'm glad I did some research and found this part - all I had to do was pop it in place and now the vent grill is secure. Problem solved with minimal cost. Read the instructions carefully as these will fit many different appliance manufactures. The brand name on them is Whirlpool but they also fit my Kitchen Aide as well. Web Page gives all the information. Read your Range Hood manual to correctly remove and replace filters. Easy if you do it correctly, will bend up the filters if you don't. Carmeletta S Brook Park , OH December 04, 2014 Charcoal filter & grease filters needed to be replace I took the plastic vent piece off the front of the microwave & removed the charcoal filter & put the new one in. Made sure that while I had it open I cleaned all the built up grease out of it before closing it back up. Took the 2 grease filters from underneath the microwave & replaced with the new ones. Marc G Stanhope , NJ March 01, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Microwave MH7140XFB1 Broken grill cover assembly on the front of my whirlpool microwave plus i had to replace the charcoal filters and the filter covering grills The grill cover only took me needing to remove 2 screws, taking off the damaged piece and replacing it with the new part I ordered. The charcoal filters and grill covers for them just simply needed to be removed and replaced. No tools needed for that part of the project.
