Gregory B Magnolia , TX December 08, 2015 Appliance: Jenn-Air Surface Base Unit- Ddraft Gas CVG2420W The electronic ignitor and light ring did not work on one burner The stove is a CVG2420 Jenn Air 34" white stove top that is no longer made. I do not want to have to rebuild the island for a different stove, so I need to keep the old stove running. The trick to get into the control panel is that the top of the panel is attached to the gas piping frame by two Torx T-15 screws, one inside each of the center two light rings. Once inside the panel, it was very easy to remove the failed switch. The replacement switch was slightly larger than the original and I had to grind off about 1/8" of one spade contact so that the wiring would not forcibly contact the inside of the control panel when reassembled. It fires up and lights up the light ring now, just like it used to. Mama is happy and I am a hero!! The best thing for me is that I did not have to get the local appliance knuckleheads involved.
