Whirlpool W11117302 Dryer Lint Filter Grille Housing OEM Part

There are just two phillip head screws that hold it in place. There are also a couple of pronged metal sensors that pop out/in place. When I was cleaning the area before replacing the grille I accidentally bumped the electric clip for the sensors and it fell back into the dryer. I was able to bend a coat hanger to retrieve the wires. Other than that it was a very simple procedure.

Bought a new lint screen housing and top flapper. Probably didn’t need the flapper but I didn’t want to set into the repair and find out I did need it.

After trying to modify the filter, I finally decided to find a replacement.grill.

Installed a new drum roller kit. The only issue I had was the new belt that was supplied was too short and would not fit. When held up to the existing belt it was appx 1 1/2” too short. The website notes that some of the parts(belt) will not work for all applications.

Purchased a new dryer filter grille for my Maytag dryer, removed old filter grille, and installed a new one. Appliance Parts Pros got the part to me within 24 hours and with the e-mailed Youtube instructions, it was easy to do - and I'm not all that handy.
