Michael W Milton , FL December 06, 2016 Appliance: Model AER5823XASO The plastic trim on the left side was broken It was really easy to replace the handle. There are two screws on the inside of the oven, one on each side, holding the handle and trim in place. You need to put some strong tape, I used packing tape, to tape both sides of the upper oven just under the black handle trim. The outer oven glass is on a tension that It you do not tape the door together it will spring forward, and the trim pieces on each side will fall to the sides. Once the handle is off you just unscrew the two screws with the attached washer to remove the handle from the trim and replace the handle. It only goes on one way as one end has a tab that fits into a hole. Remove the tape when done and that is it. The screws on the inside of the oven are regular Phillips screws, but the ones holding the trim to the door handle are the box end type. It took about 10 minutes to complete.
