Mark H Peoria , AZ March 04, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer MHWZ400TQ01 F28 code serial communication error The washer drum would intermittently not spin at initial start. Sometimes it would quit during a spin cycle and leave clothes wet. The problem became more frequent until it would no longer spin. Inspection revealed that the MCU connector (3 blue wires) was broken. This is the communication between MCU and the the CCU (Connected at the MI3) I replaced the entire main wire assembly? This was my first time I worked on this washer. If this is your first attempt to do the same, recommend taking pictures of the old harness before removing it to assist you through a proper installation should you need help with routing or connecting.
