Description
This switch harness links the five valve-mounted ignition switches to the spark system so the surface burners light when you turn a knob. Replacing a damaged harness restores consistent, reliable ignition across all burners.
- Provides the electrical path from the valve/knob-activated switches to the spark module to ignite the burners
- Failure can cause no click/spark on one or more surface burners
- Stuck or shorted switches may cause constant clicking even with knobs off
- Intermittent ignition or burners lighting only when the knob is positioned just right
- Visual clues include cracked switch bodies, brittle insulation, or burned/broken wires

- Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
- Remove grates and knobs; lift the cooktop or top panel to access the valve switches
- Note wire routing and valve order; seat each switch on its valve stem and connect leads securely away from heat
- Restore power and test each burner for proper spark before reassembly
