Description

This defrost heater assembly mounts near the evaporator coils inside the freezer compartment and generates heat to melt frost buildup during the automatic defrost cycle. It keeps the evaporator coils clear so the refrigerator can cool efficiently. Replace this heater if you notice excessive frost buildup in the freezer, the refrigerator is not cooling properly, or the defrost cycle is not functioning.

Freezer coils iced up and holding temperature

Replaced defrost heater assembly. Got the right part in very reasonable time for a reasonable price. Super easy to install, and the best part is that it came with the correct pin connector for the original wiring harness already assembled. (getting the original pin connector out of the wiring harness plug sucks) Freezer now operates correctly.
