Whirlpool WP2315531 Defrost Heater OEM Part

First replaced defrost timer. Iced up again after 2 weeks. Then replace the defrost heater. So far so good.

I ordered a timer, bi-metal module and a heater. I tested the existing heater with a multimeter, and it checked out ok. The test on the bi-metal module was inconclusive, so I replaced it and the timer at the same time. The instructions were clear. The only thing that slowed me down was the lack of a wiring schematic for my model of refrigerator, I had to spend a bit more time eliminating 2 of the 3 hookups for the timer. It would be nice to be able to find an online schematic on your site, but all in all your site is well planned, easy to navigate. Considering the age of the refrigerator I am going to keep the heating element on hand. This was a lot easier than some of my other home repair projects and assembling children's Christmas gifts.

Ordered part from Appliance Parts Pros.com, was exact part needed and arrived the same time that any local parts shop could get it, cheaper too!

Replaced the freezer heating element (and defrost timer, while we were in there) - after a Google search suggested that is the most common reason fridge starts to trip breakers. Parts arrived the next day after purchasing, saving the groceries I had bought the day before the fridge went kaput.

With the great priced parts from APP. I didn't expect the parts the very next day! It was a very easy repair with the help of your company's video to help me. It took longer to remove food from the freezer than do that repair!! I never expected to find parts-the fridge is 23yrs. old, but with your help it's back working like new again!!! The thing will outlast me now LOL. Even the person I talked to on the phone assured me the parts would work or I had 365 days to return them. Tthat's just excellent customer service. Thank You All Very Much Plus I probably saved at least 900 or more dollars.not having to buy a new one.
