Joseph K New Lenox , IL January 24, 2017 Appliance: KitchenAid 24" Built-In Electric Single Oven Thermal Convection Self-Clean KEBC147KBL03 Oven door wouldn't open and close smoothly Ordered a new left side hinge from appliancepartspros.com and it arrived overnight although I paid for standard shipping only. Replaced the left side hinge which was visibly misshapen and damaged. Followed video instructions on U-tube to remove the oven door and hinge, installed new hinge, reassembled and re-installed door. Robert C Lowell , MA December 16, 2024 The oven door was hard to open and seemed to stick A you tube video helped in removing the oven door. After removing the screws, though, the top did not separate. Since I could lift the bottom up enough to get the old door hinges out and put the new ones in, I closed it back and put the screws back in. There was an issue in screw in two of the screws on the bottom of the door. They would not screw all the way in and are about 1/8 inch out. I checked the depth of the hole and it appears to be blocked about 1/2 inch down, although that should be long enough. For now I'm leaving it until I get shorter screws.
