Whirlpool WP71002472 Hinge, Door OEM Part

The door of the Jenn-Air W141 simply pulls up and off, so the parts of the hinge that broke (snapped at the rivets; clearly the weakest point!) fell out. Turns out you only have to remove two screws from the front of the oven body to remove each of the two hinges, then pull it out the front! Simple! I ordered these hinges, they fit perfectly; unfortunately they didn't come with screws so I used the screws from the old hinges...they did NOT fit perfectly - slightly different thread pitch. Oh well. So I just forced it (without stripping the screws - they didn't go in all the way but so what). :) The door fits and works fine now...I don't think this oven has too many years left but I just bought it some time...

We had a difficult time figuring out how to remove the old hinges. We thought it looked like they should be removed out the back - but after much fiddling around, finally discovered they came out the front! It would have been helpful if some instructions would have been included. It looked for awhile we were going to have to call an experienced repairman but, to our delight, we finally accomplished the job on our own. Also, I was extremely pleased to even find replacement hinges as my first call to Whirlpool informed me they were no longer available. However, to their credit, they suggested I Google the part number and try to find an Appliance Parts company that might have them. I placed the order on a Monday, they arrived on Wednesday and we installed them on Thursday! Thank you for your help and prompt attention!!
