Whirlpool WP9760578 Hinge-Door Left OEM Part

The little flip-over locks on my oven door hinges were bent and broken, preventing me from removing the oven door. It took a little bit of searching to determine that my oven purchased from Ikea was actually built by Whirlpool, and finally what were the correct part numbers for both hinges. Much to the credit of AppliancePartsPros.com, they were the only site that specifically labeled these hinges as Left and Right which helped greatly - even the parts diagrams from Whirlpool were not specific in showing that these were different for each side. I had to use two spare bolts as wedges to hold open the broken hinges so I could finally remove the oven door (my original task was to tighten and repair the bracket holding on the front glass and clean the inside of the glass of something that had dripped down inside the door). I was able to disassemble/reassemble the door and replace both hinges with nothing more than a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Now everything looks and works just like new.

Replaced two door hinges.

Ordered and installed new oven door hinges. Needed specific hinges for the stainless steel door which is heavier. Removed the door from the oven, removed 5 screws holding the door panels together. The oven door hinges were easily extracted from the door. Placing the new hinges and screws took less than 5 minutes. Works great now. The on-line parts diagram at AppliancePartsPros only showed the hinges for the non-stainless model. I initially ordered the wrong hinges which didn't look like the old ones - but a quick call to APP and their technician was able to identify the problem and come up with the correct part number. I would call APP prior to ordering for the next repair job.

New hinges solved the problem! FYI the mounting holes were not tapped for screws, I was able to self tap but glad I bought new screws.
