Robert Z Brooklyn , NY February 18, 2017 Freezer icing on backwall & not cold enough in fridge & freezer Replaced defective freezer fan. It was a very easy job & it now works great. Shut power & carefully defrosted all ice build up behind freezer wall on metal fins with hair dryer & towels & cleared all ice from vents to refrigerator. Nicely dried & cleaned everything. Tested freezer drain hole with very hot water to maker sure it was not clogged & backing up. Installed new fan with the original plastic blade, rubber backing & also replaced the broken air vents. Samuel K Summit Point , WV April 06, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator W4TXNWFWQ03 Freezer was icing over blocking port holes to the fridge section I defrosted the freezer and replaced the defrost temperature switch on the cooling coils. I cut the wires and used two small wire nuts to complete the splices. I defrosted the freezer with a hair dryer, but you have to careful not to melt the thin plastic walls and bottom of the freezer. You only need a nut driver, wire cutter, and wire stripper and two small wire nuts, (not supplied with part).
