Philip M Tomball , TX October 07, 2015 Could not get ice out of the dispenser I put in the new ice dispenser drum ordered after watching the online video provided by AppliancePartsPros and it was easy following the video, without the video to guide me I would have had to pay a repairman do it for me. Jane S Searcy , AR April 11, 2014 The ice dispenser drum was broken and needed replacing I watched the video and was able to do the repair myself. The video was very well done. Having no prior experience with ice maker repairs, I had to watch several portions repeatedly in order to get the parts put together correctly, but the video was so clear and detailed that I was able to take apart and reassemble the parts of our ice maker with success. I can't imagine how the video instructions could be improved. I was very impressed with this aspect of the website. Timothy D Lewisville , TX December 09, 2019 Appliance: Model KENMORE ELITE SIDE BY SIDE, CIRCA 2000. Ice cycles from the bottom of the mold, causing ice in bin to form a solid block and broke the dispenser drum due to it. Replaced mold and drum. Trivial task for all - basic screwdriver skills, quick, accessible, and easy. Note that the thermal compound is provided already on the ice mold in current parts, and that you do *NOT* need to order the very expensive tube of Alumelastic cement (and mine will be going back!). Rick M Natchez , MS July 28, 2018 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator TS25AFXKS03 Ice maker would not dispense ice Had to replace the broken original plastic "ice auger" (Who thought that was a good idea?) with the vastly better stainless steel auger as well as the shattered "ice dispenser drum". My folks had been told the fridge/freezer unit was so old that it could not be fixed. I knew from past experience that was likely not the case because of AppliancePartsPros.com. Got the model number, quickly found the parts, ordered, delivered in 3 days. Followed the excellent video provided on the AppliancePartsPros.com website. The replacement was quick and straight forward after watching the video to see the point about the reverse threads on the end of the shaft and how to keep the crusher blades together. My folks now have their crushed ice on demand and are once again happy campers. I would recommend AppliancePartsPros.com as the first stop for your DIY appliance repair parts. The search feature worked well for locating the parts needed, shipping was quick, and cost was reasonable.
