Bryan B Ville Platte , LA March 05, 2016 Appliance: Crosley Electric Dryer CDE7000W The front drum slides rear wheels where both wore out also needed a new filter screen Un plugged dryer. It was an easy fix, popped the top up. Removed the two screw that held the front on and also unclipped the door switch. Released tension that was on belt and removed drum. Removed old front slides cleaned up area and replaced them. Popped the ring that held the rear drum wheels and placed the new ones with a dab of grease. Un hooked tension spring for idler and removed old one and put the new one in. Make sure you place it through the correct hole and it makes it firmly into the end hole. Replaced drum put the belt back. Attached the front, places the door switch back and closed the lid. Plugged it back in and fired it up! All the parts were correct and worked like a charm. Thank you! Dennis N Spring Branch , TX April 10, 2017 Appliance: Model FOUND ALL THE INFO ON THE APPLIANCE PARTS PROS SIT Loud squeeking when thew drum was rotating, i thought it was the idler pulley I watched one of the repair videos then decided to order the rear roller kit and idler assembly kit. After receiving parts (which shipped really fast), I knew exactly how to open up the unit and remove the drum and remove the worn parts. I recommend to watch the video before starting job, saved me lots of time. I had even made this same repair in 2004 but didn't remember all of the steps. Completed the project in about 40 min. Another note: Have a shop vac handy to clean out the lent and dust build up from years of use. Lent build-up slows the drying time and is also a fire hazard. Now my wife is happy and I don't have to listen to the squeaking. Runs like a new dryer. Read More...
