Whirlpool WP73001165 Oven Igniter OEM Part

Our oven is a large side by side double oven range. All of the repair videos that I watched mentioned that the igniter was in the rear of the oven. Wrong. According to the Appliance Parts Pros Schematic of the large oven, the igniter was shown in the front of the stove. To replace the igniter it is necessary to remove the bottom panel in the front of the oven. You can see the igniter along with the wiring leads from there. But to get at the igniter you must go inside the oven, remove the racks, remove the rack holders, then unscrew the 4 brackets that hold the rack holders, which also hold the oven bottom in place. Then lift out the oven bottom carefully, because the flame spreader is welded to the oven bottom. The old igniter is now exposed, so it can be unscrewed and replaced. After replacing the igniter, reverse the disassembly procedure, and you are done. I could not find any help on the internet or from Jenn-Air, so I figured, what can I lose if I take the range apart myself. I'm glad I did.

I diagnosed the problem to be a bad igniter using several online searches. When I called a repair tech, he told me the part was $270 and the repair call was another $400. After watching an Appliance Parts Pros video, I decided to try it myself. The whole job took 20 minutes - the hardest part was removing and replacing the oven rack guides because they were screwed in all the way in the deep corners of the oven (Jenn Air PRG3610), Easy Peasy!

I ordered the gas igniter and installed it.

I did a google search, watched a few youtube videos, determined it might be the ignition bar, bought a new ignition bar from your company, replaced and happily -- my oven worked.
