Whirlpool 12002791 Range Surface Burner Igniter Switch OEM Part

I replaced the Igniter switch, two control valves and one holder/orifice (because I couldn't get the screws out and decided to just replace it rather than re-tape it and get new screws). The one thing I forgot was I have propane and the orifice was for natural gas. Fortunately, I was able to swap out the orifice from the old holder.

Ordered ignitor harness and two burners (Holder/Orifice) and with supplied videos spent about 40 minutes exchanging parts - saved roughly $500. Must say, great parts (look original), good price, easy web site and, most of all, helpful video!

Replaced the ignitor switch harness, the new part has some plastic umbrellas to better protect them now.

After disassembling the cooktop and removing the back cover replacement was simple. The replacement switch assembly from Appliance Appliance Parts Pros fit perfectly.

Checked out several listings for possible problems. Read though the owners Manuel . Tested for power to unit then troubleshooted items 1st control unit and then control for starting iginitiors Also the iginitiors had cracks on the insulators . Priced out parts Vs replacing the double oven all together a new oven about $1600.00 Parts were $450.00 plus my own labor . Not bad if I get another 10yrs On the unit it's stainless exterior a Maytag Gemini MGR6875ADS. Plus we have a matching Over range microwave and dishwasher and refrigerator . Everything flows together On oven screws it took some time and patience since its never been apart Penetrating oil and time to work them loose. I heard that some have to drill the Burner screws out but fortunately I didn't have to . New control head was better I weighed getting the old control head fixed but it has been working for 10 yrs. heat and cooled overtime that takes its toll on electronic parts .i I'm an electrician electronics don't last forever. These people were kind and knew the parts I needed . It was like I was at the parts counter In person!!!!
