Terry R Menomonee Falls , WI June 17, 2014 Broken inside glass on oven DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws. This $50 part saved me from having to buy my wife a $1000+ oven. David L Longboat Key , FL April 06, 2014 Appliance: Jenn-Air Self Cleaning Slide-In Downdraft Electric Range JES9750AAW Cracked inner glass, electric oven First, i suggest as you disassemble you take pictures with your phone...although it would seem simple enough there are more pieces than you might think (3 la yers of glass plus the outer glass facade)...the process is abit tedious but not terribly complicated...i didn't take pictures along the way of disassembly but this would have helped...along the way I super cleaned all parts so this took awhile...oh, make sure you have a large flat area for your work...i used two towels for a cushion.. Stephen F Harveys Lake , PA September 07, 2015 Broken inner glass on oven door My experience with Appliance Parts Pro was unbelievable. I feel like the glass was at my front door before I even finished placing my order. The repair was not difficult, and the steps are listed below. 1. Remove oven door by lifting it off the hinges. 2. Remove all screws around the oven door. 3. Remove front glass. 4. Remove 4 screws securing the next glass piece to the door, and remove the glass. 5. Remove screws securing the handle to the door, and remove the handle. 6. Remove screws securing the metal piece to the door and remove the metal piece carefully so the insulation stays in place in the door. 7. Carefully lift the frame holding the two inner glass pieces to remove it from the door. 8. Bend the tab back that hold the frame together and remove the glass from the frame. 9. Clean and replace all parts as needed, and follow all steps in reverse order to reinstall. David J Fountain Hill , PA November 02, 2014 Appliance: Jenn-Air Self Cleaning Slide-In Downdraft Electric Range JES9860AAS The inner glass on the door of my jenn air range broke there was a piece of tin foil on the rack during cleaning which i theorize deflected too much heat to the glass With the new piece of glass, I took the door apart and replaced the glass. It was considerably different from the video on the Appliance Parts Pros site, but I figured out how everything had to go. The biggest difference was that it needed to be face up on the table to lift off the glass, not face down. Just take out all the screws, pull the stainless steel+glass outer layer down, and it opens up--- you then have more screws to remove, but it's pretty straightforward. Chad D Cedar Falls , IA February 27, 2015 Inner oven glass broke Looked up part on AppliancePartsPro via the model number of the oven. Ordered the piece of glass I needed at about 4pm and had it the next day by 3pm, and I did not pay for expedited shipping. Couldn't believe that I had it the next day! Although my oven didn't match the video instructions exactly, the video was helpful and I was able to figure out how my oven door came apart to replace the glass. Total time to replace the broken glass, about 30 minutes (but that also included cleaning all the parts when it was disassembled). It is an easy repair to do and the only tool that is needed is a #2 phillips screwdriver.
