- Only basic hand tools are typically required; allow the range to cool completely before starting
- Remove the old cap by lifting straight up; set the new cap into place by aligning it on the burner head
- If the burner still flames unevenly after installation, check for and clean any debris from the burner head and ports
- Follow all safety precautions: disconnect power and gas supply or turn gas control to OFF before servicing
