Wayne M Dahlgren , IL January 14, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Free Standing Gas Range MGR5755BDQ Increase button on control board quit working could only heat oven to 350 (initial setting) or lower Ordered Electronic Control Board on Wednesday, was notified of back order but received it within 5 days. Easy to replace, remove four screws from back of stove, then four more from the control panel. Control display has rounded corners but unit has square corners, first thought was they had sent wrong panel but when removed panel from back of stove I seen that the old unit also was square. Left old panel connected except for end three prong connector until new panel installed then changed wires individually so as not to mis-connect. Plugged unit in and time promptly displayed, set to correct time. Next morning clock still correct so started oven. Returned to room a few minutes later and power off. Breaker had been thrown. Turned breaker back on and reset clock and restarted oven. When oven was at desired temp inserted food and set timer. About 5 minutes later was walking through room when a flurry of sparks flew from front of stove and breaker went off. Later that day I removed back panel from stove to look for signs of arcing or burned connections, could find neither, reconnected stove to electricity and has worked fine for past couple of days, have used oven and timer without incident.
