David Q Marietta , GA January 13, 2020 Appliance: Model MAYTAG / WHIRLPOOL The left rear switch was shorted and a knob was bad I replaced the switch and the knob using only a screwdriver type handheld multi-tool. My friend had called me on 24 December because his cooktop was tripping the breaker. Since I was out of town and could not get over there, he came over to my house to use my cooktop and all went well. Just before New Year’s Day 2020 I went over and diagnosed the problem. Then over the next couple of days discovered appliance parts pros and ordered the part that was delivered Jan 10. I went over and replaced the switch, replaced the knob and all went well.
