Roger H Bellevue , OH June 12, 2016 Appliance: Model KITCHEN AID The ice dispenser flapper keep flapping and ice dispenser quit working everything else ok I pulled out the drip tray in the bottom of dspenser area. There were two screws in the bottom. Took two screws out lifted up on the outer cover of the dispenser area. then pulled one connection at a time to stop the flapper from activating. Put back together with no ice dispenser function. Removed cover couple days later reattached wire and everything ok for couple days then flapper started acting up again. I then disconnected wire again and ordered Electronic control board two days later it arrived and I installed in less than ten minutes. Take into consideration that I have had it apart two other times before I installed new Board. I did not unplug refridge. My back ground is in maintenance so I have no problem tearing things apart.
