Description

The lid switch lever connects the washer's lid hinge to the lid switch, signaling when the lid is closed so the cycle can run. A damaged lever can prevent the safety interlock from closing, leading to no-start or spin issues. What it does:

• Transfers lid movement at the hinge to the lid switch actuator
• A closed lid so the washer can operate
• Common symptoms of a failed lever: washer won't start; won't spin; cycle pauses because the lid-closed signal isn't detected

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Lift or open the top to access the hinge/switch area; locate the lever near the lid switch
