Keith F Dresden , TN December 18, 2023 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW8500DC5 Lid breaks at the left hinge Replaced hinge and lid. Need a #2 torque bit and Phillips driver. The hinge assembly is tight which puts strain on the glass. Take the white plunger off and it works better. That is what causes the glass to break. After 3 lids I finally figured out what was causing it to break. I ordered one from OEM was a headache!!! AppliancePartsPros.com was easy and the lid got lost from Fedex. Called AppliancePartsPros.com they sent a new one no questions asked. Great company to do business with. Give them a 10-star rating!!!
