Whirlpool 8184718 Microcomputer OEM Part

Based on the faults, I understood that the problem could either be with the control console (the glass touch panel) or the microcomputer. The on-line pro recommended replacing the console. I ordered, received and replaced the console, but a day later the original problems returned. I then ordered, received and replaced the microcomputer (using the old control console). The gas range now operates fine; all functions work with no uncommanded inputs. I am in the process of returning the unneeded replacement control console for a full refund. Replacement of both parts (console and computer) was easy and rather intuitive. The microcomputer replacement, however, required the installation of another electrical part (a "suppressor") that was included in the microcomputer order; apparently some sort of manufacturer redesign/repair. This new part was also easy to install when following the clear instructions included with the microcomputer/suppresor. Techs and service reps were all very helpful and very professional. I would definitely use Appliance Parts Pros again.

Went online to ApplicancePartPros.com. Webchatted with a specialist. Gave him my error code and stove model number. And within 5 mins. I had the replacement part ordered. This was on a Sunday and the part was at my door by Wednesday. By wednesday night the parts were switched out and our oven was working again! Probably saved us 200-300 dollars by doing it ourselves!
