Ken B Raleigh , NC December 12, 2016 Appliance: Jenn-Air Self Cleaning Slide-In Downdraft Electric Range S136-C Our old jenn air burner cartridge had disintegrated and failed completely Our old Jenn Air has been a great appliance. Over the years, I was able to repair the problems with the cartridge units by buying a new wiring harness. Finally, the housing completely fell apart. After searching for a new replacement, I found Appliance Parts Pros online and gave them a call since the cartridge was not shown on the parts breakdown on their site. The lady was most helpful and found the proper part number and located it in their stock. The price was reasonable and it shipped out the same day. It arrived quickly and plugged in fine. Unfortunately, the front burner didn't work because, apparently, Jenn Air changed the wiring to use all four contacts instead of just three. Getting it to work was easy. I traced the old wiring and found one of the contacts was a common for both burners. I disassembled the housing and ganged two burner wires together on the common contact. During a really deep cleaning of one of the modules a wire broke between the burners. We had a back up module that was from my husbands parents when they replaced their JennAire. Unfortunately, it had three prongs not four, so only one burner would work and one would warm up but that was it. We were able to identify what we needed on AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered it.
