Description
This auger motor drives the ice-auger in the dispenser, turning the spiral to deliver ice from the bin to the door dispenser. Replacing a failed motor restores reliable ice delivery and stops auger-stall symptoms. What it does:
- Rotates the auger shaft so ice is moved from the bin to the dispenser chute
- Engages when the dispenser actuator or control calls for ice
- Common symptoms: ice won't dispense, auger won't turn, grinding or humming from the ice bin area
- Works with the auger drive assembly to meter ice flow without affecting the ice maker itself
