Byron M Clovis , CA August 01, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid Wine Cellar KUWA244PBS00 Wine cooler was not cooling no motor sound had previously replaced thermostat) Fan motor was making squeaking sounds and then quit. Had previously (about 2 years ago) replaced the thermostat. Ordered new fan motor & replaced. Note: it was difficult to get motor out because of fan blades. Did not know that it just slides off. Easy to replace - just two nuts holding motor to bracket. Had to reroute one wire because spade lugs on new motor are 90 degrees rotated from original. Once I got new motor passed brackets slid the fan blade on - there is a flat spot on the shaft to line it up correctly. Slid the two motor screws though mounting holes, added nuts & tightened. Plugged unit to power and noted motor was running. After unit had run for awhile, tested the on-off function of the thermostat. Replaced the back cover. Finished. Read More...
