Description
This genuine OEM replacement part is a fan motor made for refrigerators. The fan motor disperses air to the compressor and condenser parts of the refrigerator to keep them from overheating, ultimately keeping the refrigerator cool. If the refrigerator is no longer maintaining a cold temperature, this might mean that the fan motor needs to be replaced. Thankfully replacing a fan motor is a simple job.To replace the fan motor, begin by unplugging the refrigerator. Then open the freezer door and remove all bins and shelving inside the freezer. Continue by unthreading the screws on the back wall of the freezer to gain access to the motor. Remove any side screws to fully remove the back cover. Pull off the red and white power wires to the motor. Then pull off the green ground wire. With a pair of needle-nose pliers, pry off the fan blade on the top, and set it to the side. The motor is held in place by a spring bracket on the front and back; squeeze and lift up and push the motor downwards to pull it out. Install the new motor into the brackets by tilting it upward and engaging both rear and front brackets. Reinstall the wire harness and ground terminal by snapping them into their appropriate connectors.
