Description

This natural-gas orifice spud is sized for the 5K burner position on compatible gas cooktops and ranges. It meters gas to the burner to set proper flame height, helping restore consistent heat when the original orifice is clogged, damaged, or incorrect. What it does:

• Regulates gas flow for the designated burner; calibrated for the 5K position on natural gas systems
• Can help resolve weak or oversized flames, yellow/lazy flames, uneven heating, or intermittent ignition
• Required when converting back to natural gas on applicable units; not for LP gas
• Installs in the orifice holder/manifold beneath the burner head

• Shut off gas supply and power; allow the cooktop/range to cool completely
• Remove burner cap and head to access the orifice
• Use the correct nut driver; hand-start threads and tighten snugly—do not overtighten
• Reassemble, leak-check connections with soapy water, and verify flame quality per the service instructions
