Duane G Saint Martinville , LA January 14, 2015 Washer was leaking water and oil made a huge mess under the machine Found a crack in the outer tub and transmission oil everywhere. Replaced the outer tub. Toughest part was getting the spanner nut off to pull out the inner tub. Had to use a hammer and short flat blade screwdriver (turn the screw driver so the blade is parallel to the bottom of the tub). Pulled the transmission. Used gasket sealer from auto repair place and oil from Appliance Pros. Still have a small leak in the transmission, but it's cheaper than a new one, and a drip pan will handle the mess.
