Description
This overload is a compressor protector that helps prevent compressor overheating and current overloads, allowing the compressor to start safely and run reliably. It replaces a worn or failed protector to restore normal compressor start behavior. What it does:
- Senses excessive current/temperature at the compressor and interrupts power to prevent damage
- Helps stop compressor from continuously running while stalled or overloaded
- Commonly used when the compressor hums but won't start, or when the fridge cycles erratically
- Works with the compressor's start device to enable proper motor start-up
