Description
This float palnut is a push-on retainer that secures the dishwasher's water-level float to its stem. Keeping the float anchored helps the overfill protection work properly, supporting correct fill levels and helping prevent leaks from overfilling. What it does:
- Holds the float in position so it can move freely with water level changes
- Helps the float reliably actuate the overfill/float switch
- Replace if cracked, loose, or missing
- Typical symptoms include a loose or wobbly float, the float popping off, erratic filling, overfilling, or leaks near the float area

Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
- Remove the lower rack to access the float assembly
- Remove the old retainer; press the new palnut squarely onto the float stem until snug
- The float moves freely up and down before reassembling
