William W Coraopolis , PA September 21, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher GU3600XTVQ3 The panel was not functioning preventing dishwasher from starting start/cancel and drain buttons unresponsive Replacing the panel fixed a non-operating Whirlpool Quiet Partner V. If you have the issue where your buttons do not seem to respond, replacing only the panel and not the board will fix your dishwasher. If you can press some of the buttons on your dishwasher and get them to light up but the Start and the Drain buttons don't work or light up at all, remove your old panel and transfer the board into a new one. You will need a Torx driver to remove only the screws that are directly holding the panel itself. They are located inside the door. Once loose the door latch and control board and its cover have snap-in latches that are removed from the panel by hand or with the help of a small flathead screwdriver. Reassemble in reverse order. You could probably do this without turning the power to the dishwasher circuit off but better safe than sorry so just do it anyway. Lastly, this part is about 1/3 the price of a new similar dishwasher. If your dishwasher isn't in great shape and you need new racks maybe consider a new washer if you can afford it. Read More...
