Jane D Ham Lake , MN March 24, 2019 Door latch and handle broken, and control panel cover split due to age I ordered the parts one weekend over the phone after seeing that one of the parts was back ordered. I was quite concerned that back order meant "never available". The service rep assured me that they would keep me informed. Two days later I received an e mail that all the parts were on the way, including the back order. I had all the parts in hand by the weekend, and my husband and I did the work together, using the handy reference video. It looks like a new dishwasher, and works like a dream! We are very happy! We are impressed by your efficient and friendly service and would definitely order parts from you again. Matthew C Jamestown , NC February 09, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG DISHWASHER Front panel had broken/cracked door handle had broken apart as well shame on maytag!!! used poor design and cheap parts no more maytags for our home!!!! I removed the STARHEAD screws holding the inside panel to the outside door. I then separated panel, exposing the six screws needed to CAREFULLY remove the electronics and the soft touch switches. ( Note there is a screw in the center of the board!!!!) You must pull each wire harness off CAREFULLY from the electronics panel, not the ribbon wires.( Make a note of each connection location so you can return them to the correct position.) Then bend the electronic panel toward you. The ribbon wire will hold the panel. The electrical board and the support bracket for the switch panel will snap out. Look for these points along the top and bottom of the board. once you have gotten the electronics and the support bracket off the the panel , remove the rest of the screws that are holding the panel on the metal chassis.( 2 on the far left and two on the far right, 1 in the middle of the support panel. Reinstall the new front panel using the 2 left and 2 right side screws to start, just to hold it in place. Reinstall the support brackets and the board and reconnect the wiring harnesses. You must take your time and proceed slowly. You must do all of this very carefully. When done, replace the black plastic water shield back over the entire assembly. Close up the door panel and replace all screws. There is a video or the handle replacement. Do that last. It is a very easy install. I hope this helps you.....I am NOT a handy guy and I did this.....You CAN do this!!!!!! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
