Sam J Evanston , IL April 28, 2017 Touchpad wasn't working (start button specifically) so i couldn't start the dishwasher I purchased this "new" replacement panel. Without any instruction the job took 10 minutes. I removed all of the screws and unplugged the old panel, removed it and replaced it with the "new" replacement panel. You might need a partner for the second half of the job to hold the top of the dishwasher door open so you can complete the panel switch. After I put it all back together, I loaded the washer and turned it on. Very easy. Felt pretty good I did it by myself with wife assistance. I spent $200 on the part, $25 on rush shipping (little kids, lots of dishes) and 10 minutes of my time. A new comparable dishwasher would have set me back at least $500. Hopefully I've just extended the life of the unit by a few years. Mind you, it's probably 13 years old so it's probably getting close to retirement. One minor warning: When taking it apart and putting it back together, there are a lot of sharp plastic edges. Be careful. I cut open my thumb b/c I was moving too fast. Not a big deal, but if you do this job be mindful of it. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
