Description
This planetary gear assembly transfers motor torque into the agitator/drive mechanism so the appliance can rotate or agitate correctly. It replaces a worn or damaged planetary gear to restore normal drive motion and reduce noise. What it does
- Converts motor output into the rotational motion used by the drive/agitator system
- Stops slipping or inconsistent rotation when gear teeth are worn
- Reduces grinding, clunking, or excessive noise caused by a failing gear
- Helps prevent further damage to the gearcase by replacing a stripped or broken gear
