This is a control board designed for use with dryers. It is an internal part with a display for users to see information about the dryer cycle. The control board controls the time and temperature of the appliance and ensures all the dryer parts are working correctly. Due to all the small parts, this component can malfunction or be damaged. If the screen reads F1E1, that indicates that the control board should be replaced.To replace this part, start by unplugging the dryer. As an alternative, the circuit breaker can be turned off. A pair of work gloves can be used to protect the hands during the replacement process. Pull the dryer away from the wall and look for the housing that holds the control board. Unscrew it from the base and pull out the board. It will have wires connected to it. Document or take a photo of where the wires connect. Unplug the wires and take out the control board.
