Whirlpool WP61003791 Water Filter Bypass Plug OEM Part

After purchasing a used Maytag refrigerator, I was very glad to discover the availability of a Water Filter Bypass Plug, in order to avoid purchasing water filters. An order from Appliance Parts Pros resulted in delivery of the plug the very next day, even without expedited shipping! It was installed in seconds rather than minutes. Ironically when I read the owner's manual, I learn that "your refrigerator was delivered from the factory with a filter bypass in place. The filter cartridge can be found packaged inside the refrigerator." Of course, the bypass was probably thrown away at initial purchase. So, I'm delighted it can be bypassed (for the $15 price of a plug), but feeling that $40 a month for a filter is a bit of a scam, for those of us with good water.

I removed the water filter that was new and replaced it with the filter plug and it started to work right It was a new filter only about 1 month old. before I pay $50.00 for another filter or a water inlet value for $60.00 a tried the filter plug for approx. $16,00. Now I know it's the filter again.
