Dawn A Louisville , CO November 24, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Stacked Laundry- Ele MLE2000AYW Washer tub overfill I replaced the pressure switch & drain pump. It seems the pressure switch diaphragm was stuck to the top of the plastic housing and wouldn't move to initiate the micro switches. This caused the tub to overfill since the water supply valves did not get the message to shut off the water. The computer will eventually shut off the water when it times out, but not before a substantial amount of water gets past the door seal...Fortunately the wax motor held the door shut until I reset the timer to drain the tub. This is the second pressure switch I have replaced for the same problem. I did find a buildup of fabric softener at the rubber cap the connects to the pressure switch port. As a side note I tried blowing into the port and eventually the diaphragm released.
