Paul W Los Lunas , NM September 24, 2017 My dryer was working but it was making a lot of (constant) noise very loud. The root cause was the front glides. They were virtually gone, and the drum was on metal to metal. So I replaced them with a front glide kit. I also replaced the belt, rear rollers, and lint screen. I am happy to say all the parts fit perfectly, and I couldn't find a better price anywhere else. I will definitely keep you on file for the next time I need appliance parts! Thank you! Bryan B Ville Platte , LA March 05, 2016 Appliance: Crosley Electric Dryer CDE7000W The front drum slides rear wheels where both wore out also needed a new filter screen Un plugged dryer. It was an easy fix, popped the top up. Removed the two screw that held the front on and also unclipped the door switch. Released tension that was on belt and removed drum. Removed old front slides cleaned up area and replaced them. Popped the ring that held the rear drum wheels and placed the new ones with a dab of grease. Un hooked tension spring for idler and removed old one and put the new one in. Make sure you place it through the correct hole and it makes it firmly into the end hole. Replaced drum put the belt back. Attached the front, places the door switch back and closed the lid. Plugged it back in and fired it up! All the parts were correct and worked like a charm. Thank you! Kenneth C Hingham , MA April 23, 2020 Screeching noise / worn roller. I ordered and installed new rollers at the rear of the tube. While I had the drum out, I also replaced the front glides, but they were probably ok. The job is intimidating but, in the end, straight forward. The hardest part is getting the drum back onto the rollers - I did this by leaning inside the drum, lifting it slightly, pushing it towards the back of the machine, and lowering onto the rollers. It popped into place with a gentle turn after getting it started on the roller. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Socket Set
