Charles L Concord , MA November 01, 2014 Control board shorted out during drying cycle with a series of loud popping noises creating a blackened corner of the dishwasher door a pungent electircal fire smell and tripped circuit breaker Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. I removed about 10 screws, lifted inner door panel, unplugged electrical connection, replaced handle, plugged in electrical connection, replaced inner door panel and secured with screws. I could not get the new gasket to stop leaking water on the right side. I moved the door adjustment several times. I had to only move the adjustment like 1/16 of an inch to get it to stop leaking.
