Appliance: Maytag 30" Built-In Electric Oven Convection JJW9530DDS31

Hinges were weak

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair.

The oven would not heat up at all

Replaced the igniter. I don't know why I bought the screw-I did not use it.

Igniter cracked on gas range it still glowed but evidently not enough current to open gas safety valve

Watched online repair video. Ordered new part. Received part within two days. Installed and checked new igniter. A okay.
