Description

This fan scroll is the plastic housing that surrounds the evaporator fan in the freezer section. It directs air across the evaporator coils and into the ducts, helping your refrigerator move cold air evenly and maintain stable temperatures.

• Channels airflow from the evaporator fan through the coils and into the air ducts
• Helps balance cooling between freezer and fresh food compartments
• Positions the fan motor and blade for proper clearance and reduced vibration
• If cracked, warped, or missing, you may notice weak airflow, temperature swings, rattling noises, or frost buildup on the evaporator cover

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing; wear cut-resistant gloves
• Remove freezer shelves/bins and the rear panel to access the fan area
• Transfer the existing fan motor, blade, and hardware to the new scroll
• The fan spins freely and wiring is clear before reassembly and restoring power
