Damon B Tumwater , WA January 09, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Convent Gas Cartridge JGA8100ADW11 Pitted rusted burner and brass ring eaten away by rust Flip the burner facing down. Take out the seven screws that hold together the housing and the slip off the housing. Disconnect the igniter leads. Turn the burner clock wise from the opposite side your likely working. You'll get a better purchase there. Take the screws out of the old igniter, as they don't come in with the new igniter. Install the new igniter on to the new burner. Make sure that the igniter is poking all the way out of the whole in the burner. I found that the screws did not need to be tightened very hard, just very snug. Place the brass ring between the burner and the venturi.Reverse the process of breaking down the stove top you used to extract the burner. Don't forget to reconnect the leads to the igniters.
